Visiting the website and server logs

The website runs on a server operated by PLATZHALTER: hosting provider and location. When a page is requested, the web server processes technically necessary data: IP address, date and time, requested address, status code, amount of data transferred, the previously visited page (referrer) and the browser identifier.

This data is stored in log files to keep the website running and secure, and is deleted automatically after 14 days.

PLATZHALTER: check legal basis (probably Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and name a data processing agreement with the hosting provider if applicable.

No cookies, no tracking

This website does not set cookies and does not use any analytics or tracking services. Fonts and all other content are delivered from the site’s own server; no data is passed to third parties when you visit it. Your choice of light or dark mode is stored only in your browser and is not transmitted.

Contact form

If you use the contact form, I process your name, email address, the optional subject and your message in order to answer your enquiry. The details are forwarded to me as an email and, for this purpose, transmitted to my email provider PLATZHALTER: name of the email provider. The content of your message is not stored on the web server itself.

To prevent abuse, your IP address is kept briefly in memory to limit the number of requests; it is discarded after one hour at the latest.

I delete the email containing your enquiry once it has been dealt with, unless retention obligations apply.

PLATZHALTER: check legal basis (probably Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR).

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure and restriction of processing of your data, to data portability and to object to processing. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
